Texas Registered-Agent Cost: Dated Price Comparison

Annual service is a different charge from state filing

A registered-agent service fee pays for the selected service term. It does not automatically include a certificate of formation, a registered-agent change, tax preparation or an expedited state filing. Our existing Starter plan is $49 for one year; the Professional, Enterprise and Virtual Office plans remain $99, $149 and $199 per year.

Our current checkout is a one-time payment without automatic renewal. See the unchanged plan descriptions and billing and renewal policy for actual inclusions. We are not claiming the lowest price in Texas.

These are dated, publicly advertised service prices, not quotes, endorsements or a complete market survey. Visit the linked provider pages to confirm availability, package scope, renewal price and optional services before ordering. We have not independently tested competitors' operations and do not reproduce their reviews as our own.

The report that prompted this guide mentioned additional providers. We have not published an unverified price for them. Different mail allowances, business-address permissions, filing assistance, renewal arrangements and extras mean a headline fee alone is not a like-for-like comparison.

Questions to ask any provider

Do not assume an hourly response guarantee, unlimited forwarding, state acceptance or general business-mail permission unless the actual agreement says so.

Common state costs

The SOS Form 806 schedule lists $300 for a Texas LLC formation and $15 for an ordinary registered-agent change. The change fee is $5 for nonprofit corporations and cooperative associations. Optional expedite fees are additional.

Use the state filing-fee calculator for the supported base and expedite amounts. The estimate excludes agent-service fees, taxes, late fees and additional documents. Review the switching checklist before ending an existing appointment.
